2010 / 2011 outlook – increases confirmed

One by one, insurance companies are confirming that price increases are on the cards for 2011. The most notable feature of this trend is that their flagship product, namely car insurance, is leading the way. The reason for this, according to the insurers, is the 2009 ‘Klauss’ storm and ‘Xynthia’ in 2010, together with the increasing cost of both repairs and injury claims. No exact figures have yet been published, but they are expected at the end of the 3rd quarter of 2010.
